The Utshob charity organization partners with the Bangladeshi community using a holistic, sustainable development model that equips poor children with the tools and skills they need to lift themselves out of poverty. We highly value giving them the opportunity to become contributing members of the community. We are committed to a culture of responsibility, dignity, and leading our community to promote and preserve our culture and language through social awareness. We accomplish this by providing a platform that acts as a catalyst to bring positive changes.
Probir Paul
PresidentDr. Probir K. Paul is a practicing psychiatrist in San Diego for the past 30 years. He has been involved in numerous nonprofit organizations in different capacities over the years. He is the founding president of Utshob and is excited to see how their collective work will help to uplift students from poverty. He looks forward to seeing their future contributions to society.
Kanka Karmakar
Vice PresidentShe is a pediatrician, providing care to children in a community based health center. She is also a member of multiple nonprofit organizations.
Asish Bhattacharjee
General SecretaryAsish Bhattacharjee received his Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Orleans, LA. He worked at Texas Instruments, Dallas for 15 years. He currently works at Qualcomm Technologies Inc. in San Diego. He has held executive positions in multiple charitable organizations in both Dallas and San Diego since 2001.
Amar Chawdhury
Joint SecretaryHe is an Electrical Engineer, currently working as a hardware engineer at Amazon Lab126. He loves to travel, enjoy delicious food, and has a keen interest in social and charity work. Amar's goal is to work towards bringing our society together to help the underprivileged people around the globe and especially in Bangladesh.
Kanti Sarker
Finance SecretaryKanti Sarker lived in Dallas for 17 years and completed Master of Science in Accounting from University of Dallas, Texas. Kanti is living in San Diego since 2014 and involved in many social and community activities in San Diego. Kanti is also serving as Treasurer of Greater San Diego Bangladesh Association(GABA).
Sanjay Dey
Cultural SecretarySanjoy Dey has been living in San Diego for the last eleven years. He works for a semiconductor company here in San Diego. Being an electrical engineer by profession, he is also involved with literary and sociology-cultural activities.
Abesh Bhattacharjee
Event CoordinatorAbesh Bhattacharjee has been living in San Diego since 2010. He is a practicing psychiatrist at the VA medical center and is faculty member at UC San Diego. He is well known as a community organizer and it is his passion to organize and decorate cultural programs for the community.

Member at LargeArun Kundu is an Electrical Engineer and works at Qualcomm Technologies Inc. in San Diego, California . He envisions equality in society and passionate about serving back the community.
Sajib Saha
Member at LargeHe is a primary care physician practicing in San Diego since 2016. He is a co-founder of BYPS in Sweden, founder of Light to Light, and currently works with different charitable foundations. He is very interested to improve the educational system in Bangladesh and help poor students by mentoring them.
