Sanjoy Dey has been a resident of San Diego for over eleven years, where he works in the semiconductor industry. A professional Electrical Engineer, Sanjoy brings both technical expertise and a strong passion for the arts to his community.
Beyond his engineering career, he is actively involved in literary and socio-cultural initiatives, reflecting his deep appreciation for culture, storytelling, and community engagement. His unique blend of technical and creative interests continues to enrich the local cultural landscape.
Probir Paul, M.D
Founding President

Probir K. Paul is a psychiatrist based in San Diego, California, where he has resided since 1990. Now semi-retired, he brings decades of experience not only in mental health care but also in community service and nonprofit leadership.
Over the years, Mr. Paul has been actively involved with several nonprofit organizations across both the West and East Coasts of the United States. He is a founding member of Utshob and served as its first president. Since the completion of his presidential term, he has continued to support the organization in various executive roles and currently serves as Utshob ’s treasurer.
Mr. Paul remains committed to advancing Utshob’s mission of promoting Bengali culture and supporting charitable initiatives that serve underprivileged communities in both the United States and Bangladesh.
